Stan Lee, the legendary Marvel Comics writer, editor, publisher, and surprise cameo movie star has died. Early this year, Lee has announced his long battle with pneumonia. Today, he was rushed to the hospital for his worsening conditions and medical complications. It is with deep sorrow that we announce his passing at the age of 95 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Revolutionizing the comic book world in the 1960's, Lee has made a lasting legacy on modern pop culture. Starting his humble beginnings from a small office in Manhattan, Lee has brought to life a large cast of pulp-fiction heroes that lives on to become a huge part of pop culture in the modern age. The huge names of Spider-Man, Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Black Panther, Hulk, and Thor all continue to thrive, evolving from their humble beginnings on paper to their extravagant debut on the big screen. These heroes have become juggernauts that continue to captivate our imaginations for generations to come.
While he was the creator of our most popular heroes, Lee himself is our ultimate hero. A superhero in his own right to all fans, Stan Lee's superpower was his ability to create and manifest new worlds and universes, where his characters not only serve to entertain us, but also to inspire us to take on challenges like the ones they face heroically. Lee dedicated his whole life to groom amazing characters for everyone to enjoy. By striving to inspire our imagination and allowing it to grow, Stan Lee has truly made the world a better place with his creations.
