Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Game's long-awaited "pre-sequel" to 2010's Red Dead Redemption, has officially released in all gaming stores in the Eastern and Central time zones. And from the time of writing, will be releasing in 1 hour for the Mountain time zone, and 2 hours for the Pacific time zone. Similar rules apply for digital copies of the game.
Red Dead Redemption focuses on the story of John Marston as he attempts to rescue his family who had been kidnapped by the Bureau of Investigation. In Red Dead Redemption 2, the game now follows outlaw Arthur Morgan's fight for survival in the American wild west with him ultimately having to make a decision between his ideals and his loyalty to the Van der Linde gang. John Marston is confirmed as a returning character.
Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 to huge critical acclaim, scoring almost-full scores across multiple gaming magazines and review sites, some of which include a 95/100 on Metacritic, 9.75/10 on Game Informer, and 9.7/10 on IGN.
