The My Hero Academia game, My Hero One's Justice is slated to drop this week on October 26, 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC for Steam. The game will include main characters and fan favorites such as Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, All Might, Eraserhead, and more.
Developed Byking and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game is a versus brawler where two players go toe-to-toe with a chosen character from the My Hero Academia series plus two support characters, a la Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm style, who are able to be called upon to aid in battle. Also similar to the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, One's Justice features 3D-free-movement mechanics where players are placed into an arena to duke it out. These arenas range from iconic My Hero Academia sites such as U.A. academy grounds to inside the classroom and include destructible environments. The game also offers character customization options - though whether this will remain purely aesthetic is yet to be seen.
With the release, Bandai Namco has announced that not only will there be several DLC characters available for free down the line, but Shoot Style Deku - a fighting style of main character Izuku Midoriya emphasizing kicks - will also be available to all players as a free download on day one of launch. Another DLC hero, Endeavor - the hero ranked second after All Might - is also available to those who pre-order the game.
My Hero One's Justice will be the first My Hero Academia game to release in the West for all platforms.
